Enamel pins are painted by hand so therefore pins are rarely 100% perfect. Standard pins are the best quality pins in the batch but may still have some small imperfections. The back of the pin is not considered in grading as it is not the side that is displayed. Smudges may require wiping with a microfiber cloth as well.

  • Standard Grade Pins- Small chips or dips in the enamel or the metal plating most of which can only be seen if you really look.
Seconds Pins- Major chips or dips to enamel or metal plating that are obviously without looking too hard. Therefore these pins are discounted to half price.
